"Junkrat aka Rick Sanchez: Fury Road Edition" (realasabass)

I have a Lancer like the one pictured. Mine is in pretty good shape body wise. The 170 slant six and 904 tranny are not in the car/in very poor shape. I have another slant six and tranny I could put in the car, but I don’t really want to do that. I want a more modern engine, but the new Hemi is not the direction I want to go. I thought about maybe a 4G63 because Lancer, but tranny options are pretty limited. Would it be sacrilege to put a 1JZ or perhaps a 2JZ that way I can keep it a straight six. It would more than likely be mated to an automatic(I know, I know). One of those will probably give me the most bang for my buck and wouldn’t be difficult to sort. Then there is the whole aftermarket thing.

NA 2JZs do sound very good. If you really wanted sacrilege, it would have to be EJ20
BmanUltima's car still hasn't been fixed yet, he'll get on it tomorrow, honest.

1 liter ecoboost? It’ll make the same or more power than the original engine.

I’d buy a whole Lexus GS300 donor car, and swap in everything I need.

4G63, AWD and dual-clutch.
How hard can it be?

Stick a modern engine in it, its not a $$ valuable car, so make it unique and useable.

That’s what I was thinking. Maybe get lucky and find a good SC300 really cheap. Then I would have a shell for a proper big turbo 2JZ swap for a ghetto Supra. That would then make my Lancer swap make sense cause I would be a Toyota guy now. If that is the case I may have to take the Starlet my friend has been trying to give me for five years.

A GS would be much cheaper, and would be a better sleeper for a big turbo 2JZ build, as it’s fairly unassuming. If you pick up that Starlet, why not swap in a 4A-GE?

Nice :) I do love the idea of a Lancer with a Lancer Evolution drivetrain. Especially if it’s got the AWD drivetrain along with it.
That'd be a big project though, and a 1JZ/2JZ would probably be a lot easier swap-wise and would still make a damn cool car :)

I saw one of these the other day! Didn’t know what it was. I love it.

Turbo slant 6, duh. That’s what I’m doing with my Dart eventually. Then when I blow up my 7.? rear I’ll do a proper V8 swap.
